RED OAK VICTORY - OFFICER'S MESS

Click and drag to see more.

The officers dining area is fancier than that used by the crew mess, having chairs with arm rests, table cloths and porthole curtains. A cut-away shipyard drawing appears on the bulkhead along with a display of WW II, Korean and Vietnam War Merchant Marine medals. The TV set in the corner is Vietnam War vintage and was on the ship when it was mothballed in 1969. The officers mess seats approx. 20 persons. The main door and buffet are solid red-oak. A Chelsea eight (8) day wind-up clock is mounted on the bulkhead. These clocks are original equipment.
